Scott is teaching Graphics 10 for the Design
Department of the College of Arts and Letters
at California State University, Sacramento, for
the Spring 2004 semester.

He is also working to develop curriculum with the
Information Technology Department of the College
of Continuing Education at CSUS.

Scott recently relocated to the Sacramento area
from Seattle, where he began his teaching career
at Seattle Central Community College in 1995 as
a part-time instructor. He was appointed as a
full-time instructor in the Graphic Imaging and
Printing Technology Program in 1998, then
tenured in 2001.

Scott has an extensive background in production
graphic design and prepress stretching back to 1979.
Since the introduction of the Macintosh he has
focussed on the integration of digital processes into
various design applications and print production
workflows. He teaches concepts and skills powering
the manipulation of Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)
and Portable Document Format (.pdf) filetypes for
prepress applications across a broad variety of
software on Mac and PC platforms.

Scott enjoys reading, biking, sailing and, especially,
time with Denise his wife, and two sons.
